Slate Terms of Service

Welcome to Slate, a community for sharing Android home screen setups. By creating an account or otherwise using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Slate.

1. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Slate.
• Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep your sign-in details safe.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• Do not pretend to be another person, creator or brand.

2. Your content and your rights

You keep ownership of what you upload. By posting to Slate you confirm that you created the content, or that you hold the rights to share it, and you grant BractStudio a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display it in the app's discovery catalogue. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

Do not upload screenshots, wallpapers, artwork, icon packs or backup files you do not have the right to distribute. Setups you publish are public.

3. Community rules

Slate is a positive home screen community. Keep comments supportive and constructive. You must not post or share:

• nudity, sexual imagery or adult content
• harassment, bullying, threats or hate
• violent, graphic or illegal content
• spam, scams, repetitive posting or advertising links
• other people's work without permission
• malware, or links or files meant to harm devices

Breaking these rules can lead to removal of content or a permanent ban.

4. Reporting and moderation

You can report any setup, comment or creator from inside the app, and block creators so their setups and comments are hidden from you. Reports are reviewed by our team. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms, with or without a report. Reporting needs an account so moderators can follow up.

5. Copyright complaints

If your work appears on Slate without permission, email slate@bractstudio.com with a link to the setup and proof of ownership. Verified claims are removed promptly, and repeat infringers lose their accounts.

6. Slate Pro

• Slate Pro is an optional paid subscription, offered monthly or yearly. The price is shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is taken by Google Play. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews.
• You manage and cancel it in your Google Play account (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions), not in Slate. Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• If a free trial is offered, its length is shown before you start. If you do not cancel before it ends, the subscription begins and you are charged.
• If Slate Pro isn't for you, email us within 30 days of your purchase and we will refund it in full. No reason required.
• Deleting your Slate account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play first.

7. Links to other apps

Setups link to launchers, icon packs, widgets and wallpapers made by other developers. We do not own or control those apps and are not responsible for them. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners.

8. Service limitations

Slate is provided "as is" and "as available". BractStudio is not liable for temporary outages, server downtime, lost content, or inaccurate details fetched from third-party stores. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.

9. Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users at risk, or is used to abuse the service. You can stop using Slate at any time.

10. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Your profile, setups, comments, likes and uploaded files are removed. This cannot be undone.

11. Changes to these terms

We will update this page when the app changes, and the effective date at the top always reflects the current version. Continuing to use Slate after a change means you accept it. If you do not, you can delete your account at any time.
